G.M.A. Pulitura Metalli is specialized in different metal processing. Founded in 1994 by Mauro Gerometta & Antonella Pighin, it combines the centuries-old artisan wisdom of the area in which it operates, Val d’Arzino – a place where there is an ancient tradition in the production and processing of metals and special alloys – with the modern technology of the sector.
G.M.A. Pulitura Metalli has made use of the knowledge and experience abroad of Dante Gerometta, Mauro’s father, and has updated them by investing in important and modern machinery to treat the surface of metals such as steel, titanium, aluminium, brass.

Services
Taping
Passage that is carried out with abrasive belts of increasingly fine grit, is a treatment that is usually done to remove marks and impurities from details, thus preparing the object for polishing.
Recently, G.M.A. Pulitura Metalli has equipped itself with a modern robotized unit to guarantee maximum precision in the process.
Sandblasting and micro-blasting
It is a manufacturing process as complex as it is effective in making the treated metal part particularly shiny.
The machinery available to G.M.A Metal Cleaning acts on the surface of the piece removing any impurities without altering its geometry. The micro-blasting treatment consists of a high-pressure jet of millions of glass microspheres “shot” by small nozzles.
Particularly ecological and effective, it is applied on any steel (stainless steel, tempered etc.) but also on brass, other metal alloys and plastics.
Vibrofinishing
It is a special processing that exploits the three-dimensional vibratory motion of its mechanical parts, obtaining on the treated metal products the elimination of smears until obtaining an exceptional shiny-bright effect.
The objects that benefit from this treatment are usually of a technical and/or aesthetic nature, but not only: an example of this are the metal parts used in the medical sector, or even the handles and furniture components, fashion accessories, etc. …, but also propellers for boats or water turbines, which as a result of the treatment are more resistant to chemical agents present in water.
Satin plating
Satin finishing is a mechanical operation consisting of the use of special machines equipped with rotating brushes that act on the surfaces of steel, brass, aluminium and other metals.
It gives the treated part a characteristic “matt effect”, whose gradation/intensity can be adjusted at will, or as required, using brushes with different grain.
Perfect for machining mechanical parts of various types and design objects, its main purpose is to opaque the pieces giving them a pleasant appearance and refined aesthetics.
Polishing
An excellent polishing of the metal object is obtained through the combined action of “sisal-cotton” wheels and special abrasive pastes.
Thanks to the meticulous manual workmanship guaranteed by the experience of the operators, integrated with the specific machinery supplied by the company, orthopaedic prostheses of various types (hip, knee, shoulder, etc..) commissioned by major companies in the sector at national level and beyond are perfected.
G.M.A Metal Cleaning is at the forefront in this type of process, suitable for titanium, brass, aluminium and steel surfaces.
Ultrasonic cleaning
The modern ultrasonic tank washing procedure offers the certainty of obtaining maximum cleaning of the treated object in the shortest possible time.
Even the most tenacious impurities are eliminated thanks to the ultrasonic vibrations generated by the machines, capable of producing thousands of oscillations in the washing liquid.
These oscillations of pressure and depression create innumerable quantities of micro-bubbles inside the liquid which, imploding in very rapid succession (about 40,000 times per second), create a real acoustic energy of impact between the cleaning liquid and the surface to be cleaned.
Ultrasonic cleaning is the most effective method for deep cleaning of hard-to-reach parts or objects of various and complex shapes (mechanical parts, gears, moulds, precision mechanics).
Drag Finishing
The machines (OTEC) for Drag Finishing are ultra-modern and extremely effective in obtaining high levels of finishing and polishing.
They are operated both for the preparation of the pieces for the final processing and for the actual polishing.
Testing room
In order to guarantee the maximum quality of the machined pieces, recently G.M.A. Pulitura Metalli has equipped itself with a modern testing room, used exclusively to verify the quality and conformity of the single pieces with the customer’s requirements.
